Alpha Prime is where a Qualified Account record becomes a professional trading career. Selected traders move from simulated performance fees to real capital allocation, a salary structure, and an institutional desk, with the evaluation rulebook replaced by a professional one.
What is Alpha Prime? (2026) is the short definition. This page is what happens after we review you from an Alpha Futures Qualified Account.
Alpha Futures evaluations and Qualified Accounts use simulated funds. You cannot purchase Alpha Prime at checkout.
The Alpha Prime path
Alpha Futures evaluation → Qualified Account → consistency (five performance fees or outstanding performance) → Alpha Prime review
The most common concern at this stage is income continuity. Your Qualified Accounts close when you move to Alpha Prime, so you no longer request performance fees from those accounts. That does not mean income disappears. Alpha Prime uses a salary structure plus a performance split as a bridge while you start on the desk. The figures and a worked example are in Salary and performance split below.
Moving to Alpha Prime also means a platform change. Alpha Futures evaluations run on platforms such as Alpha Trader, WealthCharts, and Quantower, depending on checkout. Alpha Prime uses CQG, AgenaTrader, and Alpha Trader. Your evaluation login does not become your Alpha Prime login.
The path from an Alpha Futures evaluation
- Purchase an evaluation
- Trade simulated funds
- If you pass, you operate a Qualified Account and may request performance fees
- We review you
- If you move to Alpha Prime, your Qualified Accounts close and you continue under Alpha Prime rules

How we review Alpha Futures traders
We review traders when one or more of the following apply:
- Five performance fees on a single Qualified Account
- A significant lifetime performance-fee total
- Outstanding Qualified Account performance
- A previous period in an earlier live programme or in Alpha Prime
From there, there are two routes.
Alpha Futures live programme. A live-account path with its own performance split and payment terms, without the Alpha Prime desk package. If you choose this route, remaining Qualified Account simulated profit does not convert into an Alpha Prime salary, and you do not receive Alpha Prime desk resources.
Alpha Prime. The professional desk: mentorship, weekly calls, quantitative support, London floor access, salary structure, and scaling.

What the Alpha Prime desk is like
James Sullivan is Head of Alpha Prime. James has been in professional markets since the 1990s and has spent nearly three decades actively trading and running successful groups of traders through leading City clearing houses. The people reviewing your Qualified Account record and sitting across from you in weekly meetings are still active traders, not administrators.
Selected traders get one-to-one mentorship, on site or remote, with people who have worked on UK trading desks. The focus is risk, process, and decision-making.
We run weekly strategy meetings on market outlook, scheduled events, and how the desk wants to trade. You can also work with in-house researchers on models and systems if you need that. Quantitative research is available. It is not required for every seat.
We set personalised risk plans and monitor in real time. Alpha Prime accounts use static drawdown and a daily loss limit. In some cases we may place a trader on a static account of up to $10,000 if that is a better fit. Your previous Maximum Loss Limit does not carry across.
You get a portal for your own trading statistics. Allocation and salary may increase with performance. Full-time employment may be considered for traders who excel.
The floor is at Tower 42, 25 Old Broad Street, London EC2N 1HN. You can visit. You can relocate. You can also stay remote and still take mentorship.
Salary and performance split
Alpha Prime offers a tailored monthly salary for top-performing traders, so there is a stable base while they continue to scale.
On Alpha Futures, when Qualified Accounts close, 50% of existing simulated profit (capped at $75,000) may be structured as a 12-month salary while you remain in Alpha Prime.
As an example: if your Qualified Account closed with $30,000 in profit, up to $15,000 of that could be spread across 12 months, around $1,250 per month as a base while you start on Alpha Prime.
On top of this, Alpha Prime uses a 60% performance split on eligible results. Your income moves from variable performance fees, earned on simulated results, to a monthly salary plus a split on Alpha Prime outcomes. That is separate from the performance fees you request on an Alpha Futures evaluation or Qualified Account.

Alpha Prime is multi-asset. Markets include CME, ICE, and Eurex, across equity indices, commodities, fixed income, and FX, in US, European, and Asian hours.
Platforms include CQG, AgenaTrader, and Alpha Trader, Alpha Capital Group’s in-house platform.

Can I skip the Alpha Futures evaluation and join Alpha Prime?
No, you cannot purchase access or skip the evaluation. Entry to Alpha Prime is granted through performance reviews on an Alpha Futures Qualified Account.
Do I have to work from London?
No. Mentorship can be remote. Visiting and relocating to Tower 42 are options if you want to work on site.
Will I lose my income when my Qualified Accounts close?
Your Alpha Futures performance fee requests stop when your Qualified Accounts close. That is correct. The salary structure is designed to bridge this. A portion of your closed Qualified Account simulated profit (up to 50%, capped at $75,000) can be structured as a 12-month salary while you start at Alpha Prime. You also earn a 60% performance split on eligible Alpha Prime results from that point forward. The income model changes. It does not disappear.
How does the salary work?
It is tailored. On Alpha Futures, we may structure a 12-month salary from a portion of closed Qualified Account simulated profit, capped at $75,000 in our path article. Current figures are in our path to live structure article.
Can I stay on a Qualified Account instead?
Yes. You can stay on a Qualified Account and continue requesting performance fees under published Alpha Futures rules. Alpha Prime is not compulsory.
