TL;DR: On Alpha Futures, Advanced is the plan with no preset daily loss limit, on the evaluation and on the Qualified Account. Standard has none during the evaluation, then adds one after you qualify. Zero and Direct keep a Daily Loss Guard from the start. No daily cap does not remove the Maximum Loss Limit. Equity can still close the account during the session.
Quick answer: If you want no firm-set daily loss limit at both stages, buy Advanced. If you only want that freedom while you pass, Standard's evaluation also has none.
A daily loss limit stops the session after a set loss. Traders search for firms without one because they do not want a soft lock in the middle of a trade. That search misses the other rule. The account can still fail the same day if it hits the Maximum Loss Limit.
Alpha Futures uses a Daily Loss Guard on some plans and not on others. These are the live rules as of 29 September 2026. Simulated funds. Performance fees are performance-based. Nothing is guaranteed.
Which plans have a daily cap
Daily Loss Guard is a soft lock. Hit it, and open positions are flattened, pending orders are cancelled, and the account cannot place new trades until the next session at 6pm US Eastern. The account itself stays open. The guard counts realised and unrealised P&L, including simulated commissions and fees. The fill is not guaranteed to land on the exact dollar figure.
| Plan | Evaluation | Qualified Account | Daily Loss Guard |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zero | Yes | Yes | $500 / $1,000 / $2,000 on $25K / $50K / $100K |
| Standard | None | Yes | $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 on $50K / $100K / $150K once qualified |
| Advanced | None | None | No preset guard. You can set your own in the platform. |
| Direct | No evaluation | Yes | $500 / $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 on $25K / $50K / $100K / $150K |
Advanced is the plan people mean
Advanced has no preset Daily Loss Guard on the evaluation or the Qualified Account. The Maximum Loss Limit still applies and can close the account.
| Advanced size | Monthly price | Profit target | EOD Maximum Loss Limit | Eval consistency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $50K | $209 | $4,000 | $1,750 | 40% |
| $100K | $349 | $8,000 | $3,500 | 40% |
| $150K | $489 | $12,000 | $5,250 | 40% |
There is no consistency rule once you are qualified. A performance fee request can be up to $15,000. The split is 90%. Purchases after 8 July 2026 have no activation fee.
You can still add a personal daily stop inside the platform. The firm does not set that number for you.
Standard only drops it for the evaluation
Standard evaluations have no Daily Loss Guard. You pass by hitting the profit target and staying inside a 50% consistency rule and the end-of-day Maximum Loss Limit.
After you qualify, Standard adds a Daily Loss Guard: $1,000 on $50K, $2,000 on $100K, $3,000 on $150K. Qualified consistency is 40% on performance fee requests. Prices on the live cards are $129, $239, and $349 a month.
If the search is "no daily loss limit" and you mean both stages, Standard is the wrong plan. The details are in Standard is back.
Zero and Direct keep the guard
Zero is 2% of the starting balance: $500, $1,000, or $2,000. There is no consistency rule on the Zero evaluation. The guard is there so one session cannot walk into the Maximum Loss Limit unnoticed. It can still happen if the loss gaps through both numbers.
Direct skips the evaluation and starts on a Qualified Account. It still has a Daily Loss Guard, from $500 on $25K to $3,000 on $150K, plus a 20% consistency rule before a performance fee request. Read what Direct is.
No daily cap still has a loss limit
The Maximum Loss Limit is end-of-day trailing on every plan. The floor updates from the closing balance, not from the high of an open trade. It trails up only, and it stops at the starting balance.
The fail does not wait for the close. If floating equity or the closed balance hits the active limit during the session, the account is liquidated. On Advanced, with no Daily Loss Guard, that intraday breach is the thing that ends the account. There is no earlier soft lock unless you set one yourself.
That is the trade. You get room to manage an open position. You also get room to turn one bad session into a failed account. The mechanics are in how the Maximum Loss Limit works and EOD trailing drawdown vs intraday drawdown.
Contract size still matters. A full NQ mini into a news bar can cover a $1,750 limit in one move. Micros are the practical unit when nobody is going to flatten you at a daily number. See how many NQ contracts fit a 50K evaluation.
Who should buy which
Buy Advanced if you want no preset daily loss limit before and after you qualify, and you already stop yourself.
Buy Standard if you want no daily guard while you pass, and you accept one after you are qualified.
Buy Zero if you want the guard, no evaluation consistency rule, and a lower monthly price.
Buy Direct if you want to skip the evaluation. Do not buy it to avoid a daily loss limit. It has one.
Other firms publish their own daily rules. This page covers Alpha Futures only. Check each operator's current help centre before you compare.
FAQs
Which Alpha Futures plan has no daily loss limit?
Advanced. No preset Daily Loss Guard on the evaluation or the Qualified Account.
Does Standard have a daily loss limit?
Not on the evaluation. Qualified Standard accounts do: $1,000, $2,000, or $3,000 by size.
If there is no daily limit, can I still fail today?
Yes. Hitting the Maximum Loss Limit during the session closes the account. The trail updates at the end of the day. The breach does not.
Is the Daily Loss Guard a failed account?
No. It flattens positions and locks trading until 6pm US Eastern. The account stays open.
