Can you trade CME futures from Germany? Yes. Alpha Futures is open to traders who live in Germany. You buy an evaluation, you trade CME Group products in a simulated trading environment, and you request performance fees in USD once you are a Qualified Trader.
This guide is the practical version of that answer. It walks through how Alpha Futures works from Deutschland, NQ open time on a German clock, why the book is Nasdaq and S&P rather than DAX, and how MNQ and MES fit Daily Loss Guard if you are trading the US cash open from Europe.
Performance fees are performance-based. Outcomes are not guaranteed. Simulated results do not reflect live trading outcomes. Confirm live prices and rules on alpha-futures.com before you buy.
How Alpha Futures works for traders in Germany
We accept traders who are residents or citizens of an eligible country. Germany is eligible. You register with your legal name and your real country of residence, complete KYC, and choose a plan. There is no German brokerage account at the end of that path, and this is not BaFin-supervised live dealing. You trade simulated funds on CME Group markets.
The path is the same as for any other eligible country:
- Choose Zero, Standard, Advanced, or Direct.
- Pick a platform at purchase: AlphaTrader, WealthCharts, Quantower, or Deepchart. That choice is locked.
- Pass the evaluation, or start on Direct with no evaluation step.
- Trade a Qualified Account as a Qualified Trader.
- Request performance fees under the published rules. On published plans the split is 90%. Payment is USD on SWIFT, Wise, or Rise.
Keep trading from Germany or another eligible country. If you travel, do not place trades from a country we cannot serve, even for a short stop.
Forex and gold CFDs are a separate product in the same group, under Alpha Capital. Different markets, different platforms, different session.
What German traders actually get on the evaluation
A futures prop firm in Deutschland still has to answer three product questions: which exchange, which session, and how money comes back.
Topic | How it works |
|---|---|
Who can join | Resident or citizen of an eligible country. Germany is eligible. KYC required. Name on KYC, dashboard, and payment must match. |
Markets | CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX, including micros. ES, NQ, CL, GC, and the rest of the published list. |
Index book | ES / MES and NQ / MNQ. Not Eurex DAX. |
NQ / ES cash open in Germany | 15:30 local (CEST in summer, CET in winter). US cash is 09:30 Eastern. |
After the evaluation | Qualified Account on simulated funds |
Platforms | AlphaTrader, WealthCharts, Quantower, Deepchart |
Performance split | 90% of each approved request on published plans |
Request rhythm | Up to 4 performance fee requests per month after 5 winning days of $200+ on eval-to-qualified plans. Direct uses a profit target and consistency instead. |
Processing | 48 business hours or less on eligible requests |
Banking | Wire / SWIFT, Wise, Rise. Paid in USD. ACH is for US bank accounts. |
CME futures vs DAX
Most German index trading is built around DAX on Eurex. That contract opens with European cash, follows the European calendar, and has its own tick and session.
Alpha Futures evaluations are CME Group. The index products here are S&P 500 (ES / MES) and Nasdaq-100 (NQ / MNQ), plus energy and metals on the published list. You do not get FDAX as the evaluation product.
NQ and DAX can print the same risk-on or risk-off day. They are still different markets. NQ is US large-cap tech. Its liveliest range usually starts with US cash, which in Germany is the afternoon. If your process is the Frankfurt cash open, you are looking at a different tape.
Use this evaluation if you want Nasdaq or S&P futures and you can sit the US session. If you want DAX, you need Eurex, not this product.
NQ open time in Germany
Equity index futures on CME trade almost around the clock. Published hours: 18:00 to 17:00 US Eastern the next day, closed 17:00 Friday to 18:00 Sunday Eastern. The window most NQ and ES day traders still mean is US cash regular hours: 09:30 to 16:00 US Eastern.
Germany is 6 hours ahead of US Eastern for most of the year (both on summer time, or both on winter time). For a couple of weeks around the clock changes, the gap is 5 hours. Check the date.
Event | US Eastern | Germany (most of the year) |
|---|---|---|
US equity cash open | 09:30 | 15:30 |
US equity cash close | 16:00 | 22:00 |
Alpha Futures flatten | 16:20 | 22:20 |
That is NQ open time in Germany: mid-afternoon, not 09:00 local. All trades must be closed before 16:20 US Eastern. Alpha Futures will flatten if you do not.
Overnight Globex is still there. It is thinner. Plenty of European traders mark levels overnight and execute once US cash opens. Size down until you have lived through a few 15:30 opens on the platform you buy. Simulated fills are not a live desk.
MNQ and MES on a German afternoon session
A 50K Zero evaluation allows 3 minis / 30 micros. Standard and Advanced 50K cards allow 5 minis / 50 micros. Direct 50K allows 4 minis / 40 micros. Confirm the live card the day you buy.
One NQ mini is a large risk unit into a 15:30 spike. MNQ and MES exist so you can keep Nasdaq or S&P exposure inside Daily Loss Guard and the maximum loss limit without needing a full mini. From Germany that matters, because you are often trading the most active hour of the US day after a full European session.
Zero 25K is 1 mini / 10 micros. That size is for a micros process. Treat it like a 50K mini book and the daily cap goes quickly.
Which plan fits that session
Confirm checkout the day you buy. Figures below are from the live how-it-works cards when last checked. Premium is discontinued.
Plan | How you enter | 50K max position (live card) | What it means for a German afternoon |
|---|---|---|---|
Zero | Monthly evaluation | 3 minis / 30 micros | 25K $89/month, 50K $139, 100K $279 at full price. $0 activation. No eval consistency. Daily Loss Guard on the evaluation. 40% consistency on Zero Qualified. 25K cap is 1 mini / 10 micros. |
Standard | Monthly evaluation | 5 minis / 50 micros | More minis. No Daily Loss Guard on the Standard evaluation card. 50% eval consistency. 40% on Standard Qualified. |
Advanced | Monthly evaluation | 5 minis / 50 micros | No Daily Loss Guard. 40% consistency on the evaluation, none once qualified. Max performance fee request $15,000. |
Direct | One-time fee, no evaluation | 4 minis / 40 micros | Skip the evaluation. Withdrawal profit target plus 20% consistency. Daily loss limit applies. |
Zero 25K or 50K if you are proving MNQ or MES into the cash open and Daily Loss Guard is acceptable.
Standard if you want more minis on the evaluation card and you can live with 50% eval consistency.
Advanced if you want no Daily Loss Guard and the $15,000 request cap.
Direct if you want to skip the evaluation and you already understand the withdrawal target.
Platforms for the 15:30 tape
Live set: AlphaTrader, WealthCharts, Quantower, Deepchart. You pick at purchase. The choice is locked.
AlphaTrader is the in-house platform. WealthCharts is web and mobile. Quantower is the desktop and order-flow style setup. Deepchart is the Volumetrica order-flow option. If you need a specific layout for the US cash open, choose it before you pay.
How performance fees reach Germany
On Zero, Standard, and Advanced Qualified Accounts you may request performance fees up to 4 times per month after 5 winning days of $200 or more. You may take up to 50% of eligible profit per request. Published split is 90%. Eligible requests are processed in 48 business hours or less. Direct uses a profit target and 20% consistency instead of the winning-day count.
Methods include wire / SWIFT, Wise, and Rise. Payment is in USD. ACH is listed for US bank accounts. Match the name on KYC, the dashboard, and the receiving account.
News: no restrictions on any evaluation. Advanced Qualified: no news restriction. Zero, Standard, and Direct Qualified: no new orders in a 2-minute window before or after high-impact (red-folder) events on ForexFactory.
