Best CME Futures Prop Firm for Spanish Traders 2026 (NQ Hours, SWIFT)

Best CME Futures Prop Firm for Spanish Traders 2026 (NQ Hours, SWIFT)

Can Spanish traders use a CME futures prop firm? Yes. Alpha Futures is open to traders who live in Spain. You buy an evaluation, trade CME Group products in a simulated trading environment, and request performance fees in USD once you become a Qualified Trader.

This guide covers how Alpha Futures works from Spain, NQ open time (15:30 on the mainland, 14:30 in the Canary Islands), why the contracts are Nasdaq and S&P rather than IBEX, and how MNQ and MES fit Daily Loss Guard if you are trading the US cash open from Europe.

Note: Performance fees are performance-based. Outcomes are not guaranteed. Simulated results do not reflect live trading outcomes. Confirm live prices and rules on alpha-futures.com before you buy.

How Alpha Futures works for traders in Spain

We accept traders who are residents or citizens of an eligible country. Spain is eligible. You register with your legal name, confirm your real country of residence, complete KYC, and choose a plan. There is no Spanish brokerage account at the end of that path, and this is not CNMV-supervised live dealing. You trade simulated funds on CME Group markets.

The Path to Becoming a Qualified Trader

  1. Choose your plan: Select from Zero, Standard, Advanced, or Direct.
  2. Pick a platform at purchase: Choose between AlphaTrader, WealthCharts, Quantower, or Deepchart. (Note: Platform selection is locked at purchase).
  3. Complete the evaluation: Pass your evaluation, or skip the evaluation step by starting on Direct.
  4. Trade a Qualified Account: Trade your Qualified Account as a Qualified Trader under published rules.
  5. Request performance fees: On published plans, the split is 90%. Payouts are paid in USD via SWIFT, Wise, or Rise.

Keep trading from Spain or another eligible country. If you travel, do not place trades from an ineligible country, even for a short stop. (Forex and gold CFDs are managed separately under Alpha Capital).

CME futures vs IBEX

Most Spanish index trading is built around IBEX 35 on MEFF, which opens with European cash and follows the Spanish calendar.

Alpha Futures evaluations cover CME Group products. Index products here are S&P 500 (ES / MES) and Nasdaq-100 (NQ / MNQ), plus published energy and metals. You do not get IBEX as an evaluation product.

  • Market Differences: NQ and IBEX can move on the same risk sentiment, but NQ tracks US large-cap tech.
  • Trading Session: NQ's busiest hours start with the US cash open, which occurs in the afternoon on mainland Spain.
  • Fit: Use this evaluation if you want Nasdaq or S&P futures and trade the US session. If you want IBEX, you need MEFF, not this product.

NQ open time in Spain

Equity index futures on CME trade almost around the clock (18:00 to 17:00 US Eastern the next day, closing 17:00 Friday to 18:00 Sunday Eastern). The core window for NQ and ES day traders is US cash regular hours: 09:30 to 16:00 US Eastern.

Mainland Spain is 6 hours ahead of US Eastern for most of the year (5 hours during clock-change weeks). The Canary Islands sit 1 hour behind Madrid.

Important: NQ cash open in Spain is mid-afternoon on the mainland (15:30), not 09:00 local time. All trades must be closed before 16:20 US Eastern. Alpha Futures will automatically flatten open positions if you do not close them before this deadline.

MNQ and MES on a Spanish afternoon session

Position sizes vary by plan:

  • 50K Zero: 3 minis / 30 micros
  • 50K Standard & Advanced: 5 minis / 50 micros
  • 50K Direct: 4 minis / 40 micros

One NQ mini carries high volatility during a 15:30 open. Micro contracts (MNQ / MES) allow you to manage exposure within Daily Loss Guard and maximum loss limits, which is helpful when trading the active US open following a European session.

(Note: Zero 25K is capped at 1 mini / 10 micros, which is designed specifically for a micro-contract strategy).

Taxes in Spain

Navigating your earnings as a trader is an exciting part of the journey!

Since Alpha Futures pays out in USD performance fees, your payouts may have specific tax reporting considerations depending on your local setup in Spain. We always want to make sure you're set up for success, so we strongly recommend chatting with a qualified local tax adviser (gestor) to help you plan effectively and protect your net take-home pay.

(Just a quick reminder: Alpha Futures doesn't provide formal tax advice, so getting expert local guidance is always your best move!)
