What is the Consistency Rule? (2026)
Updated September 28, 2026: Current plans are Zero, Standard, Advanced, and Direct. Premium was discontinued in July 2026. This guide follows the official consistency policy.
Quick answer: A consistency rule limits the share of net profit that comes from your best trading day. Alpha Futures applies different percentages to evaluations and Qualified Accounts. Reaching a profit target does not remove an applicable consistency rule.
Current Alpha Futures consistency rules
| Plan | Evaluation | Qualified Account |
|---|---|---|
| Zero | None | 40% between performance fee requests |
| Standard | 50% | 40% between performance fee requests |
| Advanced | 40% | None |
| Direct | No evaluation | 20% for performance fee eligibility |

How the ratio works
Suppose your best day is $2,500 and your net profit is $4,000. That day accounts for 62.5% of net profit. It would exceed a 50% Standard evaluation limit and a 40% Advanced evaluation limit. More eligible net profit spread across other trading days would be needed before the applicable ratio is satisfied. The profit target, loss limits, and other plan rules still apply.
Evaluation and Qualified rules are different
Zero has no evaluation consistency rule, but its Qualified Account uses 40% between performance fee requests. Advanced uses 40% during evaluation and none after qualification. Standard uses 50% during evaluation and 40% after qualification. Direct skips evaluation but uses 20% for performance fee eligibility.
Consistency versus other rules
- Profit target: the net profit you must reach to pass an evaluation.
- Consistency: the allowed concentration of profit in your best day.
- Maximum Loss Limit: the account loss threshold.
- Daily Loss Guard: a separate daily control on plans where it applies.
