What is Alpha Capital? (2026)

Alpha Capital is the forex-focused prop firm in our ecosystem. Founded in London in 2021, it lets traders take an evaluation, and those who pass progress to a Qualified Account where they earn performance fees on simulated profits under published rules. It is the original brand the wider ecosystem grew out of, including Alpha Futures, ACG Markets, and Alpha Prime.

Last verified: June 2026

General information only. This is not financial advice. Trading is simulated and performance fees are performance-based, so outcomes are not guaranteed.

Is Alpha Capital legit?

It is a real, established company, and that is verifiable. Alpha Capital Group Limited is registered in the UK, founded in November 2021, and headquartered in London. It has a public leadership team, a published rulebook, a help centre, and a long Trustpilot record (20,000+ reviews around 4.7), with $100M+ in performance fees reported as paid to traders.

The honest caveat: like nearly all prop firms, the trading is simulated, and the rules are enforced strictly. "Legit" does not mean "easy," it means the company and its process are real and documented. For the wider trust question, see are futures prop firms legit.

How does Alpha Capital work?

You buy an evaluation, hit the objectives under the rules, and progress to a Qualified Account. The model in plain steps:

  1. Choose an evaluation type and an account size (sizes run from $5K up to $200K).
  2. Trade toward the profit objective while staying inside the drawdown and rule limits.
  3. Pass, and progress to a Qualified Account that earns performance fees on simulated profits.

A few rules genuinely catch people out, so know them before you buy: a minimum trade duration, a consistency rule on your best day, and news-trading restrictions on some account types. Our breakdown of Alpha Capital drawdown rules and why most traders fail evaluations will save you a failed account.
